Rules and Regulations

• The applicant should be engaged in a program of research as a post-graduate student or postdoctoral fellow or be employed in an institution actively participating in the COST Action IC0801 - AT.
• Researchers at the beginning of their career (PhD students and Postdoctoral students who obtained their PhD only recently) are particularly encouraged to apply.
• The home and the host institution can be public or private, but must be in a COST Member State that particpates in COST Action IC0801(see http://w3.cost.esf.org/index.php?id=110&action_number=IC0801).
• Short-term scientific missions should last at least one week and less than 3 months.
• Costs per day must not exceed EUR 120 for accommodation and EUR 40 for subsistence.
• The total COST funding of a short-term scientific mission should usually not exceed EUR 2000, although a maximum of EUR 2500 can be reached if a well-reasoned justification is provided.
• A STSM may be approved from a home institution in a COST participating country to a host Institution in a non-COST country which is part of the Action but not the other way round
