MODELS 2013

International Workshop on Experiences and Empirical Studies in Software Modelling

EESSMod 2013

Miami, Florida - USA, October 1, 2013

In conjunction with the ACM/IEEE 16th International Conference on
Model Driven Engineering Languages and Systems (MODELS 2013)
Miami, Florida - USA, September 29 - October 4, 2013
Themes and Goals

  • Encourage empirical studies in software modelling.

  • Create a venue for researchers and industry practitioners doing empirical studies in modelling to meet. These types of studies tend to get scattered over many different fields and research areas (e.g., HCI, modelling, empirical studies, RE, conceptual modelling, business modelling, architecture).

  • Get together people from industry and academia interested in studying and/or improving modelling practices.

  • Build a better understanding of the industrial use of modelling techniques, languages and tools.

  • Start building theories about the effectiveness of modelling approaches.

  • Identify directions for future research in the field.

  • Facilitate and encourage joint research and experimentation in software modelling.
