Gerhard Friedrich Universität Klagenfurt(Austria)

Gerhard Friedrich is a chaired professor at the Universität Klagenfurt, and received his PhD in computer science from the Vienna University of Technology. He is the head of the Institute of Applied Informatics and directs the Intelligent Systems and Business Informatics research group. Previously he managed the Department for Configuration and Diagnosis Systems at Siemens Austria, implementing numerous knowledge-based systems. Gerhard Friedrich also led many research projects and was a research fellow at Siemens Corporate Research and at the Stanford Research Institute.

 

François Taïani Université de Rennes 1(France)
François Taïani is a Professor in Distributed Computer Systems at the Université de Rennes 1 (ESIR) and IRISA/INRIA in Brittany, and received his PhD in computer science from the Université Toulouse III. Prior to that, he held a Lectureship in Lancaster University. François has participated in numerous industrial projects. This includes past visits and placements at major industrial labs (e.g. at Bayer AG and Daimler in Germany, AT&T Labs in the US), and more recently collaborative projects with Anglian Water Ltd and Cefas/Defra in the UK.
