Vicent J. Botti Navarro is a full professor (Computer Systems and Languages) and Head of The Grupo de Tecnología Informática – Inteligencia Artificial (GTI-IA) http://www.dsic.upv.es/users/ia/ia.html at the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (UPV), Spain http://www.upv.es/menui.html.

His current research activities include two interdisciplinary areas, Real-Time Artificial Intelligence and Multiagent Systems. He leads the following research lines:

1)Multi-agent systems :
Within the MAS research line, he is working in the following areas:

2) Real-Time Artificial Intelligence:

The main contributions in this area are the Slack Slide Scheduling (SSS) Algorithm, a heuristic for scheduling soft real-time tasks in the ARTIS architecture, and ARLIPS a Rule-Based Language suitable for hard real-time systems.

3) Soft-computing:

The main contribution in this area is a Soft Computing technique based on the combination of neural networks and a genetic algorithm for the discovery and optimization of new catalytic materials when exploring a high-dimensional space.
